Pricing & Child Policy
0-5 Years: Children under 6 years old are strictly prohibited from flying due to safety regulations.
6-12 Years: There are NO discounts for children. All passengers aged 6 and above pay the full adult rate.
Pregnant Women: Safety regulations do not allow pregnant women to fly.
Cancellation Policy
Weather Cancellations: If the flight is cancelled by the Civil Aviation Authority due to weather conditions in Soğanlı, you will receive a 100% Full Refund.
Note: Sometimes Göreme flights are cancelled while Soğanlı flights fly (or vice versa) as they are in different weather zones.
Guest Cancellations:
More than 48 Hours: 100% Refund.
Less than 48 Hours: Non-refundable.
FAQ: Soğanlı vs. Göreme
Q: Is it the same view as the photos I see on Instagram? A: Not exactly. Most famous Instagram photos are from Göreme (with hundreds of balloons). Soğanlı is equally beautiful but has a different rock structure and far fewer balloons in the sky. It is a more nature-focused experience.
Q: Why is the transfer longer? A: Soğanlı Valley is located 45 km southeast of the main hotel area. The drive takes about 45-60 minutes, whereas the Göreme launch sites are only 5-10 minutes away.

Welcome to CappadociaTur.com. By booking a tour, hot air balloon flight, or any other service through our website or customer service channels, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
- Booking and Confirmation
1.1 Reservation: A booking is considered confirmed only when a deposit or full payment has been received and a confirmation email/ticket has been sent to you.
1.2 Information Accuracy: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate information (names, passport numbers for insurance, hotel details, contact info) at the time of booking. CappadociaTur.com is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect information.
- Payment Policy
2.1 Methods: We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard), bank transfers, and cash payments in local currency or major foreign currencies (USD, EUR, GBP).
2.2 Deposit: A security deposit (usually 30-50%) may be required to secure your reservation, especially for Hot Air Balloon flights during peak season.
2.3 Balance: The remaining balance must be paid prior to the tour start time or upon arrival at our office/hotel pick-up, depending on the specific service agreement.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy
Different services have different cancellation rules. By booking, you accept the specific policy for your selected activity.
3.1 Hot Air Balloon Flights
Weather Cancellation: If the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority cancels the flight due to weather conditions, you are entitled to a 100% full refund or a reschedule (subject to availability).
Guest Cancellation:
48 Hours: Full refund.
24 – 48 Hours: 50% penalty.
< 24 Hours / No-Show: No refund (100% penalty).
3.2 Private and Regular Tours
24 Hours: Full refund.
< 24 Hours: No refund.
3.3 Refunds Processing
Refunds are processed back to the original method of payment. Please allow 3-7 business days for bank processing.
- Child Policy
4.1 General Tours: Children aged 0-6 often join daily tours for free (if no separate seat/meal is required). Children 6-12 usually receive a discount.
4.2 Balloon Flights (Strict):
0-6 Years: Not permitted to fly for safety reasons.
6-12 Years: No discount. Full adult price applies to all flight locations (Göreme, Soğanlı, Çat, Ihlara).
- Itinerary Changes & Liabilities
5.1 Alterations: CappadociaTur.com reserves the right to alter itineraries, routes, or departure times due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, road closures, museum renovations). We will always strive to offer an equivalent alternative.
5.2 Third-Party Services: For certain activities (e.g., Balloon Flights), we act as an agent. While we only work with fully licensed and insured operators, we are not liable for the operational decisions of third-party companies.
5.3 Personal Belongings: We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items during tours or transfers.
- Insurance
All our vehicles and tours are insured according to TURSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) regulations.
Hot Air Balloon flights include comprehensive passenger liability insurance provided by the operator.
We highly recommend that all travelers purchase their own personal travel insurance to cover flight cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage.
- Health and Conduct
7.1 Health: Guests must ensure they are medically fit for the activities booked (e.g., hiking in Ihlara Valley). Pregnant women are strictly prohibited from Hot Air Balloon flights.
7.2 Conduct: We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest who behaves in a disorderly, offensive, or dangerous manner. In such cases, no refund will be given.
- Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nevşehir, Turkey.
